The Faculty of Theology and Religion in association with Harris Manchester College
Start date 1 September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The Faculty of Theology and Religion and Harris Manchester College are together seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Science and Religion. The successful candidate will carry out research in Science and Religion, and they will teach undergraduate and graduate students in both the Faculty and College.
Applicants should have a doctorate within the science and religion area or in a humanities or scientific discipline which is relevant to the area, and they should have a proven track record of research at a leading international level in Science and Religion.
The Associate Professor will be a member of both the Faculty and College communities. These form a lively and intellectually stimulating research environment where scholars perform to the highest international levels in research and publication, drawing on the outstanding research facilities which Oxford offers. The successful candidate will also have a role to play in the running of the College as a Governing Body Fellow (trustee).
