Dear Research Network, Colleagues and Friends,
We are delighted to announce that Beyond the Womanist Classroom has generously hosted two episodes to amplify the The African Journal of Gender and Religion July 2024 special issue. The issue, entitled "Black Women’s Radical Religious Epistemologies in Mahogany and Steepled Towers," demonstrates a breadth and depth of religious scholarship that is both diverse and powerful. We had a launch party to further amplify these voices!
The wonderful Prof. Mitzi Smith, host of Beyond the Womanist Classroom, has shared her platform to allow the authors to be heard. We are incredibly grateful for Prof. Smith's generosity. We are also grateful for the authors who shared their expertise and their time for this podcast. My thanks, also to our amazing editors, including Prof. Geeta Patel (in the previous podcast) and Prof. Carol Marie Webster (in this podcast).
Let us know your thoughts! We hope you'll enjoy listening to these authors and supporting their scholarship.
