How to move toward gender equity for all: Amplification. Accountability. Change.

Octavia Spencer recently talked about pay equity. As a renown actress, Spencer spoke about conversations she had with Jessica Chastain, a White actress, regarding gendered pay disparity. Why is it important to note that the other actress is White? Because Chastain was shocked to learn her salary was nearly five times what Spencer was making as a Black actor. We must ask, how do we behave regarding pay inequality in other sectors - such as within higher education? How do you behave when you see someone undervalued?
