Hey everyone —
If you’re new here: welcome. If you’ve been riding with me a while: thank you!
I’m writing, researching, and building community at the crossroads of faith, justice, and scholarship — with a deep sense of urgency and a fire in my bones that won’t let me quit.
That sacred fire? It’s what keeps me going. The global witness? That’s how I show up in the world.
In 2025, I’m showing up with:
A research residency in Mexico, digging into the lives and legacies of Black and Biblical women;
My first book (three years in the making, and yes, it’s finally happening);
Three peer-reviewed articles currently in the academic oven;
The Scholars’ Sacred Circle — a free space to connect and support scholars walking this justice path.
This work isn’t just intellectual — it’s soul work. It’s rigorous, rooted in community, and yes, self-funded. If that last part made you wince, I feel you. But this is where you come in.
If you’ve ever been moved, challenged, or inspired by what I share — or if you just want to support scholarship with purpose — here are a few ways to help keep this going:
💸 One-time or monthly contribution via Ko-fi (no account needed);
✍🏾 Become a paid subscriber right here on Substack;
📖 Pre-order or gift my upcoming digital Bible study, “The Fast Isn’t Over: Lenten Practice as Protest” (launching June, group options available).
Even if you can’t give right now, sharing this with someone who might? That helps more than you know.
This year is about movement, meaning, and deep commitment. I’m grateful to walk this road with you. Got questions or want to chat? Reach me at misogynoir2mishpat@gmail.com.
In hope and solidarity,
Dr. Nash (aka, “Nash”)
