Dear Research Network, Colleagues and Friends,
We are nearly there! It's a very exciting time for the Misogynoir to Mishpat (M2M) Research Network. We have been dreaming of the day when we will embrace each Sistah Scholar in community. We want to provide nourishment so that the work you do is sustainable. In addition, we've been working, behind the scenes, to ensure that the institutions with which we work function in ways that support our work.
Are you as excited as I am?
Are you ready to be paid, not just praised for your expertise? The Sistah Scholars Pilot Program is designed to help Black women reclaim their power in academia and religious scholarship. This groundbreaking 8-week initiative provides the mentorship, resources, and community you need to thrive.

🌍 This is Bigger than a Program—It’s an Opportunity for Us to Be Aligned Within Our Purpose!
For too long, Black women in academia and religious scholarship have been overworked, underfunded, and overlooked—expected to pour into others while struggling to secure the resources they need to thrive. Sistah Scholars is changing that.
We are working to provide a free and accessible pilot program. To this end, we are delaying the launch to provide time to raise at least £3,000 to support the Sistah Scholars Community. Your support can help us: 💡 Fund stipends for guest mentors who will guide participants through grants, fellowships, and career-building strategies.
📚 Provide writing and research resources to help scholars sharpen their academic and advocacy skills.
🤝 Expand networking opportunities with universities, seminaries, and advocacy groups invested in Black women's leadership.
You don’t have to wait until next month! We are accepted any contributions and support! Likewise, if you need support before March 12th, you won’t want to miss the fantastic opportunities we are crafting for you!
We’re shifting to that “power on the margins” and we’re “opening the gates!” We’ve been dreaming of this moment and it’s nearly here.
