Du Bois as a pioneering figure in history, the discipline of Sociology, and across diverse scholarly boundaries. This student-centered conference will provide a platform for faculty and students to explore, engage, and extend Du Boisian ideas and research to foster discussion on social justice, inequality, and activism. Participants will contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding Du Bois’s continued national and international influence and application in contemporary research and community action.
The conference will feature innovative, exciting keynotes, plenaries, and concurrent sessions drawing on the legacy of W.E.B. Du Bois, in general, and work that centers voices and experiences often placed on the margins, in particular. We invite submissions for concurrent sessions. Non-presenters are welcome to attend. We look forward to seeing you in Providence.
